Price of Growing old.

Edgy
“Stepping outside of your comfort zone will put things into perspective from an angle you can’t grasp now”

wonder if other’s used to be in this position. What position you may asked?

Well, let’s just put it this way. There’s a cave man whose never go out of his cave. He fell in love with his cave, because his cave was special. Placed so close to the coast so every sunrise and every sunset he could see wonderful and plenty of people reflection on his wall, reflected by the sun. But he never ever once, walked out of his cave.

He, let him self, deceived by the beauty of a shadow. a mirror. not more.

That position I called comfort zone.

And I need to get out.ASAP

Punching

I saw my wife sitting in his favorite places. near the widest window, on a leather brown couch that half covered with pink-orange quilt.  She is a little up tight about this. No one in this house would ever want to even try to sit on that little sanctuary of hers. Sunlight showered her dark straight hair as it fall perfectly on his small shoulder. A shoulder that made me fall in love to her, a shoulder that makes me want to always protect her. She look like a lost lonely bird in her blue oversized cardigan.

“Honey, I could feel it? It’s punching!”

She looks at her stomach, then slowly rub it, very gently, like rubbing a child’s head, like trying to communicate with something, someone in distant.

It was September and I remember when she told me that I’m going to be a father. I still remember everything. Every detail. It was rain, we always had our window ipen, so i could smell the earth and the rain. She wear a red sweater, walking barefoot while holding his coffee, she sat in her favorite spot. She tell me to come sit next to her. ” I want to tell you something” she said with a soft smile.

I was so happy, I lift her while we crying and laughing at the same time.

Then Mid february, another news come. Doctor said that, that had been a mistake. Suddenly her stomach went empty. Just like someone playing trick with us. Like the greatest magician put his magnificent maroon sheet and wrapped it around her and then “poof!” it’s gone. except the fact that it won’t come back. Our baby just… dissapeared into thin air.

“Oh! It’s punching again! I bet it must be a boy. He’s going to be a football player, and all girls will went crazy over you. You will wear number 10, the greatest number and I will screaming my loudest to support you in every game, And your father would be the greatest coach in the world, ain’t you sweetheart?”

I smile, “Only if you be his number on fan.” I looked outside the window. I ‘m looking at empty cloudless sky. Watching the wind play with flowers in our garden. They danced in silence.

“I think we ought to read only the kind of books that wound or stab us. If the book we’re reading doesn’t wake us up with a blow to the head, what are we reading for? So that it will make us happy, as you write? Good Lord, we would be happy precisely if we had no books, and the kind of books that make us happy are the kind we could write ourselves if we had to. But we need books that affect us like a disaster, that grieve us deeply, like the death of someone we loved more than ourselves, like being banished into forests far from everyone, like a suicide. A book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us. That is my belief.” – Franz Kafka
